Pad Placement

HERE ARE SOME BASIC PAD LAYOUTS. We are creating new ones for you every week so check back here often.

Keep in mind that there are unlimited combinations, and only after using your Tone-A-Tronic EMS unit will you begin to understand how your muscles work. Then the concepts will be clear. Once this is understood the results that can be achieved are unlimited. Please feel free to E-MAIL us if you have any specific questions you would like answered, on any EMS or TENS topic.

Abdominal Toning and Strengthening Setup 1:
The diagonal and vertical placement of pads from waist to ribs is very effective and basic to many layouts. Since many people respond to the stimulation far better on one side of the body than the other it is best to adjust the control knobs to maintain an equal contraction on both sides.
Abdominal Toning and Strengthening Setup 2:
This setup is a variation on Setup 1. Both are very effective and produce a good contraction on generally flabby abdomens. Use whichever produces the best and most comfortable contraction.

Abdominal Toning and Strengthening Setup 3:
The pads are paired diagonally to stimulate the muscles around the abdomen. Use this for general sagging around the abdomen and diaphragm. Adjust the control knobs to maintain an equal contraction on both sides.
Inner and Outer Thigh Toning and Strengthening Setup:
Excellent for tightening and strengthening the long thigh muscles on the front of the leg and correcting flabby contours. Adjust the control knobs to maintain an equal contraction on both sides.
Buttocks and Back of Thigh Toning and Strengthening Setup:
Use this setup to firm and tone the muscles of the buttocks and back of the legs. Adjust the control knobs to maintain an equal contraction on both sides.
Buttocks and Calves Toning and Strengthening Setup:
Use this setup to firm and tone the muscles of the buttocks, back of the legs and the calves. Adjust the control knobs to maintain an equal contraction on both sides.
Buttocks and Front Thigh Toning and Strengthening Setup:
Use this setup to firm and tone the muscles of the buttocks and/or front thigh areas. Adjust the control knobs to maintain an equal contraction on both sides.
Arm Muscle Toning and Strengthening Setup:
Use this setup to firm and tone the Biceps and triceps muscles. Adjust the control knobs to maintain an equal contraction on both sides.
Forearm Muscle Toning and Strengthening Setup:
Use this setup to firm and tone the forearm muscles to improve your grip. Adjust the control knobs to maintain an equal contraction on both sides.
UPPER AND LOWER BACK
Caution: if there is a history of back trouble or any acute pain, either in the back or spreading down to the back of the legs, we advise you to consult a doctor before starting to use this exercise. Adjust the control knob to maintain an equal contraction on both sides. Tightens the lower back and realigns posture.
This pad layout corrects posture and realigns shoulder positions.
This layout relieves tension, backaches and dramatically improves posture by strengthening the lower back and realigning the shoulders. Reminder: For the first week only, a gentle contraction should be used until the weak muscles gain strength.

If this exercise causes any pain in the back, you should consult a doctor.
